PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Foran Anti-Acid Mortar is a high-quality product designed for applications requiring exceptional resistance to alkali and corrosive chemical environments. Produced using a precise manufacturing process, this mortar offers reliable protection and long-lasting performance in various industrial settings.
The production of Foran Anti-Acid Mortar begins with carefully selecting premium-grade raw materials, including Furan resin, renowned for its outstanding resistance properties. These materials are meticulously measured and combined in optimal ratios to ensure consistent quality and performance.
The manufacturing process involves a two-component system, where the Furan resin is mixed with a complementary agent to create a durable and stable mortar. The formulation is engineered to achieve a robust polymer structure, enabling the mortar to withstand the harshest conditions.
Rigorous quality control measures are implemented during production to guarantee the mortar meets stringent standards. The mixture undergoes thorough testing to verify its chemical composition, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. This ensures that each batch of Foran Anti-Acid Mortar meets the specifications required for optimal performance and longevity.
The resulting mortar exhibits excellent adhesion properties, bonding securely with surfaces such as tiles, anti-acid bricks, and concrete. This enhances its versatility and suitability for different applications in petrochemicals, refineries, dairy, and more industries.
Furthermore, Foran Anti-Acid Mortar is designed to provide exceptional resistance to both alkali and water, making it an ideal choice for environments with strong alkali storage tanks and channels. Its ability to withstand high temperatures further contributes to its suitability for demanding industrial settings.
With Foran Anti-Acid Mortar, customers can trust a high-quality product that offers superior protection against corrosive chemical environments. Its reliable performance and longevity make it a valuable asset in maintaining the integrity of structures and surfaces, ensuring long-term durability and safety.

Surface Preparation:
To prepare surfaces for FAMTM198 Furan anti-acid mortar, ensure they are smooth, clean, dry, and free from dust, processed compounds, fat, oil, and grease. Fill large holes with Afzir’s special mortar, and level uneven areas with a suitable leveling mortar or putty. Surfaces can be achieved with open pores using sandblasting or shot blasting.
Performance:
Furan FAM™198 anti-acid mortar is a two-component mixture of resin, powder with mineral fillers, and a catalyst. Mix the components and apply the prepared mortar with a carpentry trowel or trowel up to a maximum thickness of 5 mm per layer. For thicknesses over 5 mm, apply the mortar in layers until the desired thickness is achieved. Use plastic crosses to install acid-proof tiles and bricks for orderly and visually pleasing work. Ensure thorough strapping to eliminate empty and permeable spaces between tiles and bricks. Mix only the amount of mortar that can be used within 30 minutes, following the specified proportions. Consult Afzir company for any necessary adjustments.
Mixture Preparation:
- Shake each part well.
- Add part B to part A and mix using a slow-speed mixer with a suitable stirrer for two minutes until a uniform mixture is obtained.
- For smaller volumes, mix one volume of Part B with five volumes of Part A in a clean mixing bowl.
- Mix only the amount of resin that can be used within the working time.
- Prevent air from entering the mixture during stirring.
Consumption:
The consumption rate of FAM™198 anti-acid mortar is 4 kg per square meter.
